Hoop buildings. farmtek's hoop buildings offer several advantages over traditional confinement barns. hoop shelters are easy to set up, easy to maintain and less expensive than traditional wood and steel barns. ideal for housing swine, cattle, sheep and goats, they also make effective equine facilities.. Well thats weird, i read somewhere that the tarped hoop houses naturally had good ventilation. i guess if you put solid ends on it, you'd probably have issues but i don't plan on doing that. i visited a dairy barn in wi at the sheep dairy symposium a few years back, forget their names, but they used a hoop barn for their milking parlor.. Hoop barns can be used successfully for raising sheep, horses, ostriches and other ratites, though they have traditionally been used for swine. the basics of hoop structure design for other livestock is similar to the structures for swine. refer to the hoop structures for swine wepage for details..
